On Friday, May 27, 2016 NVAA Community Outreach Committee (Dani Bressler, Chair, Amanda Ingle, Molly Holland, Jeremiah Holston and Carrie Ehart) delivered Safeway Gift Cards (Value $1,000) to Doorways for Women & Families, along with a 2nd monetary donation of $1,000 to Bridges to Independence.  We would like to thank all of our members for making donations at our various events to make this possible for us to “Pay It Forward”!  Thank you for making a difference!!

ENDependence Center of Northern Virginia
Dani Bressler, Co-Chair, NVAA Community Outreach Committee and Carrie Ehart, NVAA Board of Directors delivered the $1,000 donation to ENDependence Center of Northern Virginia on behalf of the NVAA Community Outreach Committee.  Making a difference in our community!!

The ENDependence Center of Northern Virginia (ECNV) is a community resource and advocacy center run by and for persons with disabilities. ECNV’s mission is to ENDdependence by empowering people with disabilities to live independently. We are a cross-disability organization and work with people of all ages who have every type of disability.

Founded in 1982, ECNV is one of 15 Centers for Independent Living (CILs) in Virginia. There are over 400 CILs nationwide. ECNV serves Arlington, Fairfax, and Loudoun Counties and the Cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, and Falls Church. Most of our services are provided at no cost.

Pete's New Haven Style Apizza
NVAA has partner with Pete's New Haven Style Apizza and apartment owners to raise awareness and funds in support of our charities, Bridges to Independence and Doorways for Women and Families.  Pete's donate 50 pizzas per apartment community and the residents purchase them for a minimum donation of $10 per pie.  This has been so successful!  Pete's donated over 2,000 pizzas and we raised over $25,000 in support of our charities in 2014.
